The season has changed and we are now into Autumn. Ok, apart from a late flurry, Summer didn’t really happen, but right on cue, the days seem to have changed with the start of September.
It’s not quite seasons of mist and mellow fruitfulness yet as we do hope for a few more sunny warm days throughout the month, with a couple forecast. Fingers crossed.
So the Display Team, here – they aren’t really called that and you now might have the image of acrobats, jugglers or a pyramid formation of people on a series of motorbikes – have been busy and earlier in the week the Hallowe’en displays were put out. It’s a scary thought but I am not going to mention that yet albeit they do look very good. Spookily good.
I guess we do juggle as our outside space has seen a few changes too. We are often asked, this time of year, how colour can be introduced into the garden. Our Autumn range is looking rather spooktacular, …sorry I said I wasn’t going there…spectacular, we hope you’ll agree (Pics above all taken at WLGV this week).

The Pets Team at Bruno’s were leaping around the other day as they celebrated some very special arrivals. Tortoises. Baby tortoises and raised from eggs, right here. Hooray for hatchlings, as the first little Hermann’s broke out of their eggs earlier in the week and now measure c40mm. They are very hungry, very fast (yes seriously) and very, very strong.
Did you know? The sex of a baby tortoise is mainly determined by the temperature at which the eggs are incubated – so all the babies, will be the same sex based on the same temperature they were incubated.
We reckon there has been over 30 years of trying for tiny tortoises at Bruno’s – and they are coming on leaps and bounds. So congratulations are very much in order.

We are very flexible, you can mix and match and save on your planting colour multi-buys. In fact, we often bend over backwards to offer the very best customer service and so perhaps we are a Display Team after all – just not with the motorbikes. That would be silly and a bit iffy so near to the canal.
See you soon
