With the 75th Anniversary of VE Day, the day that fighting in Europe ceased, we were still on Active Service on Social Media to mark the historic occasion.
Sadly with Corona Virus, the planned celebrations of street parties and parades had to be put on hold – and typically, it was a beautifully sunny day.
We were able to mark the week up to the Friday with virtual bunting and in the case of Heart of the Shires a tweak to the famous wartime song: “We’ll meet again, we know where, just not when”*
– we also raised a glass too to remember those that served. Thank you.
* We do know now – the date Heart of the Shires can open: June 15th.
