As we write – and add this – we are in the middle of the Corona Virus pandemic, with everything completely different to everyday life.
As much as we can, and as much as time allows, we often like to look back, catch our breath and put together some of the ideas, imagery and work we have produced most recently and add them as a gallery to our website and social media. Here, to start, it was very much business as usual with Heart of the Shires offering a host of gorgeous goodies as we headed towards Easter.
The first indications of the crisis were evident as the month went on and we needed to promote the site as still open, as footfall dropped off during the time the site was allowed to stay open. It was the Friday immediately prior to Mothering Sunday – one of the busiest weekends of the year for the on site restaurant – where it would all change with the government forcing the restaurant to close. Following that weekend, other retailers were choosing to close with a full closure imposed on the site shortly after. From then on it would be an online presence only for the foreseeable future for Heart of the Shires. Thinking caps on!
